I took over the running of the Rose Garden in August 2010. Although I had qualified and worked as a primary French teacher for a number of years, I had always had a creative streak and couldn't help wishing that I had followed a different career path.
A basic evening course in floristry whetted my appetite and I was very quickly hooked. I have spent a number of years qualifying as a florist and in June 2010 I gained my BTEC National Certificate at Level 3, passing with a double distinction. The opportunity arose to take over The Rose Garden and I knew that I could be the florist that Cromer needed!
A supermarket can provide you with a bunch of flowers but a florist can provide a 'bouquet' and a wealth of other bespoke services besides - all with a very personal touch. One of the most rewarding aspects of taking over The Rose Garden has been the interaction with my customers many of whom are now regulars. It can be very touching to know that through my work I may have brought a smile to someone's face.
I look forward to welcoming you at The Rose Garden
